Full-Service Moving: Transparent, All-Inclusive Pricing
- One all-inclusive hourly rate set by crew size, 3-hour minimum, then 15-minute steps. Monday through Thursday is our discounted weekday rate. Full rates are on the Moving Cost page
What's billed separately (always disclosed up front):
- Extra-heavy items - gun safes, double-door refrigerators, and similar items carry an extra-heavy fee quoted in advance.
- Double Drive Time - a California state-mandated charge: if drive time between origin and destination exceeds 15 minutes, that drive time is doubled. We always disclose this before booking.
Billing starts only after your contract is signed and the crew arrives at your first stop. If a trip fee applies to your job, it is on the quote. For an exact quote on your specific move, a quick estimate is all it takes.

What people say about us
Honestly — Who Movers Best Isn't For
- You're optimizing purely on price. We pay our crews well because we screen hard and train them properly. If lowest price is the only factor, a budget mover will fit better.
- You expect rude treatment of service workers to be tolerated. Our crews are skilled professionals. If a job becomes hostile, we'll end it.
- The move involves biohazard exposure or anti-sanitary conditions. Hoarder-level situations or conditions that pose health risks to our crew aren't projects we'll quote.
Closing: We tell you this up front because we'd rather lose the booking than waste your time, or ours. If none of the above describes you, we'd love to handle your move.
Full-Service Moving — Frequently Asked Questions

-
What's included in a full-service move?
Packing labor and materials, furniture wrapping and protection, disassembly and reassembly of beds and standard furniture, loading, transport on our own truck, unloading into the rooms you point to, unpacking to the level you choose, and removal of our wrap and cartons. One crew handles the whole move, and the crew packs on site on the day; we do not drop boxes off ahead of time.
-
What's the difference between full-service and standard moving?
A standard local move includes wrapping, disassembly and reassembly, loading, transport, and unloading, and you pack and unpack your own boxes. Full service adds the packing and the unpacking, with materials included, and usually a larger crew so the whole thing still finishes in a day.
-
How much do full-service movers cost?
Full-service moves are billed by the hour at one all-inclusive rate set by crew size, with packing materials included, a 3-hour minimum, and our discounted weekday rate Monday through Thursday. If the drive between your addresses is over 15 minutes, California’s Double Drive Time applies and we show it before you book. Full price tables are on our Moving Cost page; a few photos or a quick video get you an exact number.
-
Do you pack and unpack everything?
Yes, or as much as you want. Some clients hand us every room; others pack the closets and leave us the kitchen, the fragile shelf, and the garage. At the new home we unpack to the level you ask for, from boxes on the counter to shelves stocked, and the packing debris leaves with us.
-
Do you provide the boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Boxes, paper, bubble, tape, wardrobe boxes, dish packs, and mattress bags are all included in the full-service rate. The crew brings them on the day and packs on site, so you never have a pile of empty cartons in the hallway for a week.
-
How many movers come for a full-service move?
It depends on the home, the stairs, and how much packing there is. Most full-service moves run with three to five movers, and larger homes are packed the day before so move day starts with loading. We size the crew to the home from your photos or a quick video, because an undersized crew is the most expensive mistake in moving.
-
Can full-service movers handle heavy or specialty items?
Yes, with a plan. Pianos, safes, marble, art, and oversized pieces get a safe-sized crew and a photo-first quote, with staircase photos when stairs are involved and Fleet Manager sign-off on the riskiest jobs. Extra-heavy items are priced by weight class on the written quote, never guessed on the day.
-
Is full service available for long-distance moves?
Yes. Our long-distance lanes run on our own trucks with straight delivery, and full-service packing is available on all of them: the Bay Area and Sacramento, Portland, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, Salt Lake City, Dallas, and Austin. Every long-distance move starts with a video estimate and a flat written quote.
